What is online store?

The development of the internet and e-commerce as interrelated phenomena has given small and medium enterprises as new opportunity to present themselves to the global market, both to business-to-business (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) markets.

With computer traveling to the world has become a matter of click and gradually things started becoming computerized and absolutely real time.

In early 90’s, it came up with a revolution by launching online store. An online store is a website where consumers buy products or services.

Online stores are basically a destination where sellers and buyers meet virtually and real time transaction. This types of site is most commonly referred to as an e-commerce site or a “B2C” (business to consumer) site.

The main benefits of online stores:
*Higher market reach and sales potential with availability 24/7 on the internet.
*The cost of sale for an order made online is much lower than on regular retail stores.
*Faster multiple transactions. Online store can handle multiple transactions at the same time.
*Easier information access of customers.
*Increased consumer convenience and choice.

There are two products that can be selling online: physical products which have to be delivered physically, and digital products, which can be delivered online, either by downloading or by email delivery.
