An easy way to protect sensitive data and email is to change passwords on a monthly basis, or even more often depending on how frequently using computers away from home.
Change passwords at least once a month.Though not fool-proof, these security tips should help reduce your vulnerability and keep everybody safer online.

Copy them onto another computer or a removable hard drive such as a flash memory stick.
*Protect your personal information
Don’t give too much information. Don’t give away any bit of information that makes you feel uncomfortable.
Be careful with home address and other contact information online.
Refrain from telling people where you are at any specific time.
Be cautious about arranging meetings in person with online acquaintances.
*Know with whom you’re dealing
*Take your time and resist any urge to ‘act now’ to keep your account open or take advantage of a special offer.
Never open an e-mail or attachment if you don’t recognize the sender’s email address. It could contain message or link to sites that deal with violent, disturbing or sexually explicit material.
There is also a chance it contains a virus that could infect your entire hard drove and destroy your computer.
