BPCS: Business Planning and Control System

The system is a popular application programs for manufacturing and other industries. The system is developed and sold by Systems Software Associates (SSA).

SSA Global, headquartered in Chicago, provides enterprise software for functions including accounting, asset management, planning and scheduling, and supply chain management.

BPCS is like many ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in that it has a modular design. BPCS includes MRP logic to manufacturing operations, provided there are high standards of data validity such as engineering specifications and inventory accuracy.

ERP is key to business process automation. ERP helps the user control your business day-to-day. The BPCS continuously monitors, controls and maintains the process within safe operating limits.
