WhatsApp Messenger

Today mobile messaging apps that use a device’s data connection for sending text and multimedia messages are fast becoming the norm and the users are welcoming these SMS replacements with open arms. WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows the user to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS.
WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Phone, Android and Nokia. The application is provided by WhatsApp, Inc. WhatsApp Messenger is believed to use secure communications on some supported operating systems. WhatsApp Messenger can also be used to send multimedia data files, including audio, images and video.

WhatsApp uses 3G or WIFZI (when available) to message with friends and family. With the increasing smartphone users, more people adapt to using WhatsApp as a daily real-time messenger application.

There are many other software-based Instant Messaging applications that are available for Smart-Phones, including AIM, BeejiveIM, Blackberry Messenger, ChatON, Chikka Text Messenger, eBuddy Messenger, Facebook Messenger, Google Talk, iCall, ICQ, IMessage and many other.
