System management program is independent of any specific application area. As the name implies, the system responsible for the management and accurate functioning of the computer system.

This software manages the hardware, software, network, and data resources of the computer systems during its execution of the various information processing jobs of users.

The most important type of system software is the operating system. It is responsible for performing basic tasks such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the hard disk and controlling peripheral such as printers and modems.
